I doubt this incredible midwife reads your newsletter. But just in case she doesn't, I hope she already knows how you feel about her brave and effective intervention(?)
Congratulations! I was in the room when my daughter E was born; I don't think I got to hold her head but I definitely saw her when she first arrived; she had a very distinct expression which indicated that she didn't appreciate being brought out so abruptly into the world. She was a NICU baby, so ours was a bit intense; but definitely a lot of feeding/sleeping/pooping/crying. I still remember marveling that this small person was here now and in our care.
It changes you, for sure. I remember driving home once shortly after from work and I was listening to Pandora in the car and it played the song "Getting to Know You" from The King and I, followed by "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof.... and man oh man.

Very unlikely! We're going to write her a card to say thanks once the baby has settled in a bit.
Congratulations!!!! 💗
Thank you!
God bless and keep you, your partner and bub. Exciting times!
Thanks so much! We're very excited... but also very tired!
